The article is about Jan Pacławski professor emeritus of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. Jan Pacławski is the historian of Polish Literature, the author of many books, among these on the works of Julian Stryjkowski and Wiesław Myśliwski. Special attention has been paid on Professor’s merits as a co-founder of Polish Philology in Kielce as well as on his achievements in education of some philologist generations.
