After a short presentation of Dedecius’ biography, the author of the article deals with several translation models by Dedecius and their reception in the in Polish‑German classes. Afterwards follows an analy­sis of several poems of Tadeusz Różewicz and their translations by Dedecius in various versions created between 1965 and 1999. The students noticed that the changes in the following versions went most often towards a more detailed translation and its closer relation to the original.
